Update from the Infronts – Reaper not on CW Schedule but may Live On
May 21st, 2009Categories: News and Updates, Paul S. White
The part-time network officially unveiled its schedule today and the devilish, cult dramedy Reaper did not make the cut. However, the series has not received a cancellation yet. The shows production company, ABC Studios, is still trying to work out a syndication deal with the CW affiliates to keep the series afloat and air it on Sundays which the network has chosen not to program next year. The final decision on the fate of Reaper will probably come in the next week or two. If the show does return, it is uncertain if Tyler Labine will still be involved as he is set to star in the FOX comedy Sons of Tuscon in 2009.
Also, Supernatural and Smallville will split up when the CW kicks off its Fall season. Supernatural will remain in its Thursday 9 PM EST timeslot, but the new series Vampire Diaries will take first position as its lead-in. Smallville will move to Fridays at 8 PM EST.
