Axiom's Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy

This past week was another bad one for Science Fiction and Fantasy shows on the broadcast networks through Thursday night. Heroes continues to hit new lows each week as it dropped to a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and ended up in a distant fourth place in its timeslot. On Wednesday, Eastwick did even worse as it dropped to a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demo. That show has also lost over 1.5 million viewers each week for the past two weeks and will almost certainly face the gallows or banishment to Saturday nights very soon. ABC’s FlashForward, the one the initially appeared to be an early season hit, took a nosedive as it only managed a 3.0 rating in its third week (it has also lost over 1.5 million viewers per week – not good). Fringe’s rating also dropped some from last week, but that show did receive a bit of good news as the DVR numbers for the week of its season premiere show that it was one of the most recorded shows. Vampire Diaries continues to hold strong for the CW and also received a boost from DVR viewing. Supernatural dropped a tick from last week, but it also has strong DVR numbers helping to keep it afloat.
