Are Fringe And Heroes Circling The Drain?

Good news and bad news folks. First, the good news: Heroes may have finally wrung out its last plot twist. But sadly, Fringe may be the next to fall as well.  Airlock Alpha says inside sources at NBC claim that the writers for Heroes are being told to prepare themselves for the series finale this May, giving them a chance to wrap up all their storylines before then. One of the things that kills me anytime a show I love doesn’t get picked up for additional seasons — or is flat-out canceled mid-season — is dangling storylines. Being that I’m into sci-fi shows, enduring long story arcs is pretty commonplace. So, when word came that Defying Gravity was not only not getting a second season, but it wouldn’t be airing the final handful of episodes in the U.S., it was par for the course.
