New in Comics this Week: Jericho Season 3 Arrives!
November 25th, 2009Categories: New Releases, News and Updates
Jericho Season 3 #1 (of 6) (Devil’s Due)
You can’t keep a good story down! Even though CBS cancelled the show (twice), fans continued to scream for more and starting today their demands will be answered. Working directly with the creative team from the television series, Devils Due Publishing has brought Jericho to comics and kicks off “Season 3″ with a six-issue mini-series which picks up right where the Season 2 left off (and I assume it is working from the alternate ending we saw from the Season 2 DVD release). According to the show’s executive producers Jon Steinberg and Dan Shotz, the comic book series will bring us the civil war that the TV series hinted was coming. And they are actually happy to be doing this in comic book format because they will not be hindered by the budget limitations of a television series. It also means no interference from CBS executives. So anything goes! The six-issue mini-series which kicks off today will set the stage for what is coming, then an ongoing series will carry on the saga with a longer story arc.
