Cancellation Watch Breaking News: Looks Like the Quest Has Ended for Legend of the Seeker
By John J. Joex
The syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker received some bad news earlier this year when the Tribune Company announced that they would not carry it for a third season after the show experienced a dip in the ratings during its second season. A fan campaign in support of the show had already emerged prior to that in order to demonstrate that the series had a strong fanbase following it. And LotS production company ABC Studios did attempt to find another distributor for the show, but apparently that search has not been fruitful as now Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the show will close up shop after two seasons. This is not an official announcement, but I can say that Ausiello has some pretty reliable little birds delivering him scoop. Fans can maybe hope for a last minute change of mind, but that seems unlikely. The Save Our Seeker site has not acknowledged this news yet and I am sure they will continue in their efforts to convince ABC Studios to keep the show alive. You can get more information about their campaign and what you can do to help the show at our Save My Show page.
Check back tomorrow when I deliver my final predictions for the season for the remaining bubble shows.
