Save My Show

Following is information on campaigns currently in progress to save cancelled or bubble shows.  If you have information on campaigns not included here or updates to the existing information, please email us at mail@axiomsedge-scifi.com.  Note that we will not get involved with feuds between competing campaigns for the same show.  We are willing to post details provided for all campaigns for each show that we receive information about.

Note to those people either currently running a campaign or looking to start one.  You can set up an online petition for free at PetitionOnline.com.  It is quick and easy and a great way to collect a register of supporters.  You can also set up a blog to track campaign activities at places like Blogger.com and Wordpress.com.  Wordpress is especially good for this because it allows you to set up static pages that can act as central repositories of information for the campaign.  Both Blogger and Wordpress are free and easy to use.

See our Cancellation Watch page for the status of all shows from the 2009-10 Season.

2009-2010 Season:

We have been predicting in our Cancellation Watch column that Eastwick will be the first the genre shows to go this fall based on its poor ratings performance, and now that one has the honor as the first show of the season to inspire a campaign to keep it alive. The “Save Eastwick” campaign has set up an online petition for viewers to sign and speak out on why they like the show. They are also using Twitter to help their cause (a trend that started late in the 2008-09 season). They have set up a Twitter group and they are contacting any of a number of celebrities (such as Eliza Duschka who’s Dollhouse benefitted from a Twitter campaign last season) and asking them to spread the word about their cause. Below are the links to the “Save Eastwick” online petition and Twitter group which we will also post on our Save My Show page.

Twitter Group: http://twitter.com/SaveEastwick

The other two shows struggling so far this season are Heroes and Dollhouse, though I have not seen anything yet on groups organizing to lobby their networks to keep them on the air. If you are starting up a campaign, contact us and we will post your information

One more note to fans of the shows mentioned above and any other shows that might be struggling: one way to help a show is to download episodes from iTunes.  It only costs around a couple of bucks per episode and that helped keep Dollhouse afloat last season.  Click on the link below and search iTunes for your favorite shows.

2008-2009 Season:

The fans of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have not given up yet.  They even paid to have a truck drive through the streets of L.A. advertising their cause.  And they may be making headway because there are rumors of a direct-to-DVD movie and possibly a continuation of the series.  You can follow the campaign at this site:
